Work Force
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026 · Android com.calecutech.workforce
This policy describes how Work Force, a mobile application published by Calecute Technologies LLC, handles personal data. It applies to the Android application com.calecutech.workforce and its iOS equivalent, and to the Work Force service they connect to.
Work Force is a directory of local workers. Workers list their skills, area and daily rate, and anyone who needs a job done can find them and call or WhatsApp them directly. We do not take a cut, arrange the work, or stand between the two of you.
Who it is for: Anyone looking for a local worker, and workers aged 18 or over who want to be found. Browsing needs no account; listing yourself needs a mobile number.
What we collect, and why
Personal identifiers
- Mobile number
Signing you in with a one-time SMS code, and — because the point of a listing is to be called — shown on your listing so people can phone or WhatsApp you. Only workers who list themselves give us a number; people who only browse give us nothing.
Personal info
- Name
- Skills (for example plumber, electrician, painter)
- Area you work in, as you type it
- Daily rate, if you choose to give one
- A short description you write about yourself
- Whether you are available for work
This is the listing itself. It is shown publicly to everyone using the app while "Available for work" is on, so the right people can find you.
Permissions the app requests
- Internet
- Loading the list of workers, signing in, and saving your listing.
- Phone and WhatsApp links
- Tapping Call or WhatsApp on a listing hands the number to your phone's dialler or to WhatsApp. The app itself never places calls, reads your call log, or sees what happens after you tap.
Who we share it with
- Your listing — name, mobile number, skills, area, rate, description and availability — is shown to every user of the app while you are marked available. That is the purpose of the app. Turn availability off, or remove the listing, and it stops being shown.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.
How long we keep it
Your listing is kept while you choose to be listed. Remove it in the app and it is deleted at once. Delete your account and your phone number and listing are removed within 30 days.
Security
Data is transmitted over TLS and stored on access-controlled servers. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in a readable form. Every listing is protected by a database policy that lets only the account that created it change or delete it, and the phone number on a listing is copied from the verified sign-in rather than typed, so nobody can publish a listing under someone else's number.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your contacts, calendar, call logs or SMS.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no analytics or advertising SDK in the app.
- We do not use advertising identifiers and show no advertising.
- The app never asks for camera, microphone, location or file access, because it does not use them. Your area is only what you type.
- We take no payment and never see any payment details. Any money for work is between you and the worker.
Services that process data for us
We use the following providers. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Supabase Inc.
Hosts the database of listings and the sign-in service. Supabase stores this on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.
Their privacy policyTwilio Inc.
Sends the one-time sign-in code by SMS. It receives your mobile number and the code, and nothing else about you.
Their privacy policyWhere your data is held
Data is stored on servers operated by our hosting providers. Some of those servers are outside India, and the providers named above may process data in other countries under their own contractual safeguards. By using the app you consent to that transfer.
Why we are allowed to hold it
We process a worker's data because they asked us to publish it — that is what listing yourself means. You give consent when you create a listing, and you may withdraw it at any time by hiding or removing the listing, or by deleting your account.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@calecutech.com, or follow the account deletion instructions. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may also raise a grievance with us at the same address; we respond within 30 days.
Raising a grievance
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, write to The Grievance Officer at info@calecutech.com, Calecute Technologies LLC, Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala, India. We acknowledge within 7 days and respond within 30. If you remain dissatisfied you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
