Privacy Policy
spareX is made by Calecute Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). This policy covers the spareX Android and iOS apps and this website. For India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the data fiduciary for the information described here. Contact: info@calecutech.com.
In short
- We collect your name, phone number and district so buyers and sellers can find and contact each other.
- Listings, requests, vehicles and workshops you post are public, including the phone number you post them with.
- Photos and voice notes you choose to use for a listing are read by an AI service to fill in the form.
- Location is used only when you tap to find nearby services or pin your own workshop.
- No ads, no selling of data, no third-party tracking.
1. What we collect

Not collected: contacts, call logs, SMS, microphone audio recordings, advertising IDs, or payment card details. We never receive your Google password.
2. Permissions
- Location (precise and approximate): only when you tap to find services near you or pin your own service.
- Camera and photos: to take or choose photos of parts and vehicles you want to sell.
- Internet: to load and post listings.
- Phone and WhatsApp links: to open a call or chat when you tap a seller's number. We do not read your calls.
3. How we use it
- To show your listings, requests and services to other users and connect you with them.
- To run Premium when you request it.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- We do not sell your data, show advertising, or use your data to train AI models.
4. Who we share it with
Only the service providers below, each processing data for us under its own privacy terms. We share data with authorities only when Indian law requires it.
- Google Firebase: sign-in, database and photo storage (privacy policy)
- Google Sign-In: optional sign-in with your Google account (privacy policy)
- MSG91: sending the SMS code that verifies your phone number (privacy policy)
- Anthropic: reading a listing photo or voice transcript to fill in the form (privacy policy)
- OpenStreetMap: map tiles and turning a location into a district (privacy policy)
- Vercel: hosting the web app (privacy policy)
5. What other users can see
Anyone using spareX can see your listings, vehicles, requests, workshops and reviews, together with the phone number and district on them. Your account profile, cost prices and sales log are private to you. Bookings are visible to you and the workshop only.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Listings you delete are removed straight away. When you delete your account we delete it within 30 days, as described on the deletion page.
7. Security
Data travels over HTTPS and is stored with Google Firebase, whose security rules restrict private data to its owner. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by writing to info@calecutech.com. We reply within 30 days. To delete your account, see Delete your account. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Children
spareX is for adults buying and selling vehicle parts. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
